Enterprise 2 Impact Social Enterprise Conference

17th October 2011 By Richard Glinn in Business loans, News

For anyone looking to set up a social enterprise, a free event in Cambridgeshire on Wednesday 19th October will be offering valuable advice and support.

Foundation East will be exhibiting at the Enterprise 2 Impact Social Enterprise Conference so this is an ideal chance to learn more about gaining finance for your enterprise. Foundation East can provide loans of up to £50,000 for start-up and existing businesses that have been refused bank finance.

This enables them to survive and grow, contributing to the local economy. From the businesses we’ve helped so far we’ve seen new jobs created, life-long dreams realised and people go from benefits to business owners. We are very keen to offer finance and support to social enterprises and see the wider benefits to the community from their work.

Social enterprises around the East of England come in many shapes and sizes, helping disadvantaged people, tackling current problems in new ways, and improving local services. I’m thoroughly looking forward to attending the conference and meeting the people who make these things possible.

The event is organised by Business Link in partnership with Social Enterprise East of England and 3rd Sector Futures, Anglia Ruskin University. It promises to be an extremely valuable conference, bringing together the region’s social enterprises for talks, workshops, advice sessions and networking.

If you’re at the event our team will be very pleased to meet you. The conference will be held in Imperial War Museum, Duxford, Cambridgeshire, and is free to attend. You can book on their website.
