See you at the Ely Business Fair
Next Wednesday (15th June) I’ll be manning the Foundation East stand at the Ely Business Fair, and I look forward to chatting with anyone who has a bright idea or who runs a business they want to grow.
I think many people are putting their business plans on hold because they believe that finance is hard to come by. But you don’t need to wait, and we are interested in hearing from anyone thinking about securing a loan.
You may have been refused bank finance, but we are not restricted by computer scoring and look at the business prospects and not at credit history. Our loan applications are considered not by a computer but by a panel of members, many of whom are themselves business people and understand the current market conditions.
We’ve recently given loans and business support to Cambridgeshire businesses ranging from a children’s nursery and a sheep farm through to a high technology start-up. So far we have loaned £500,000 to approximately 25 small companies in Cambridgeshire and we are looking for more Cambridgeshire companies to apply for loans. Good ideas and viable business plans are what we look for, so don’t be deterred if your credit score is low.
The Ely Business Fair is held in The Maltings (CB7 4BB) from 1.00 – 6.00 pm on 15th June. It’s free to attend and is an opportunity for networking and promoting your business. Whether you are already nurturing your own company or if starting a business feels like a dream that’s a long way off, drop by and see what the Fair has to offer.
I hope to meet you there!
