I have no money of my own to put into the business - is this a problem?

If you are applying for a Foundation East Business Loan, having no money to invest into the venture yourself is not necessarily a problem.

We will take into account anything that you are bringing into the business e.g. tools and equipment already purchased, website development, funds from family or friends.

If the loan you need is to expand a business then we do not necessarily look for an investment from you as we will consider the business’ trading activity to date as evidence of your personal stake.

Each application is considered on its individual merits. Please contact us to discuss your personal circumstances.
