Community Land Trusts

Do you have an idea to improve your community but need some help to make it happen?

New legislation will make it easier for local people to have a greater say over what happens in their neighbourhood and to buy surplus publicly owned land or buildings so that they can be retained for community benefit.

Community Land Trusts can be established to acquire and manage these assets, or to build a community hall, create affordable housing or even establish allotments to meet an identified local need. Foundation East has already set up a Community Land Trust in Suffolk and wants to help others to set up their own.
