BBC One Series Highlights More Foundation East Success Stories

27th August 2019 By Foundation East in News

BBC One documentary series, A Matter of Life and Debt, has returned to our screens for a third series and continues to celebrate the work we do giving responsible finance to entrepreneurs who have struggled to access finance from mainstream lenders…

Following on from the inspirational entrepreneurs whose stories were told in Series 2, another three local entrepreneurs supported by Foundation East are featured in the third series of the BBC documentary ‘A Matter of Life and Debt’. The series sets out to tell the stories of people whose lives have been transformed thanks to an ethical loan and, as a Responsible Finance Provider operating in the East of England, that statement perfectly fits the hundreds of entrepreneurs that we have supported over the past 15 years.

Series 3 Episode 3

Scoliosis SOS:

Teenage entrepreneur Erika turned a life changing scoliosis diagnosis into a hugely successful business with a genuine focus on improving community well-being.

After receiving non-surgical scoliosis management in Spain, Erika decided to start a business offering the non-invasive treatment in the UK. After rigorous examination of her proposal, Foundation East awarded a loan to Erika. The loan Foundation East offered enabled Erika to start Scoliosis SOS and it was soon able to open for business.
